Running with Horses Events creates, develops and manages unique events. The proceeds from these events, located in the Triad of North Carolina, go to support non-profits we love.

We look at each event and ask 2 questions: ‘Is it fun?' and ‘Will folks feel better about themselves leaving than they did showing up?' A great event can say yes to both.

Each event that we create is teamed up with a non-profit which we believe in. We fund, organize and execute the event, then proceeds and publicity from the event go to their non-profit. We believe in what these folks do and we create events to enable them financially in ways that we could never do as individuals.

Lastly, we work to empower the individuals involved in our events to raise money for something they love through tools like Crowdrise. We approach groups involved in our events and assist them in setting up accounts that will engage their social network to make an impact on something they believe in.

PLEASE NOTE: It appears this event currently is not in operation. Luckily, Mud Run Guide has hundreds of exciting events in your area, and many are coming up soon! Good basic mud run

Sep 09, 2014 by Adam

This race would serve as a good intro to OCR. The obstacles were doable by everyone. Nothing overly difficult obstacle wise but the park was great, the running was good. Nice venue and good people.

Great Fun!

First of all I would like to say that the run was a great event. The event was well organized, the course was nice and gritty, and the people were amazing. The cons are that, you do not get a belt buckle, you got a finishers "coin" and a tech t-shirt. They did not have "showers", they had 2 dumpsters full of water you could de-mud in. Both of which were muddy water after the first wave got out of them. I was also a little disappointed that the 10k course was basically running the 5K twice. A lot of the "obstacles" they put on the website and course map were not in the race. They did have the run at a beautiful park, with lots of entertainment, live band, food and beer, etc. I truly enjoyed the event and plan on participating in it next year. Just wish the information given prior to the event was what was actually present at the event. All in all a great mud run.
