Civilian Military Combine is Back! Race Announces 2016 Series

Civilian Military Combine has been a fan a favorite since it began in 2011. Recently, the organization went through a revamp and is re-launching in September 2016. CMC is the original hybrid OCR, the event features both a functional fitness workout and an obstacle course. Participants are scored in each and their results are the combination of the two events. The relaunch will take place at the historic Fort. Hamilton in Brooklyn, New York.

In particular, I mean, Texas Weather. We don’t get much rain, but when we do, it seems to mean business. We’ve had record flooding for the past year, and it seems that OCR is a catalyst.

NBC and Spartan Race Announce Dhani Jones and Kyle Martino to Host ‘Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge’

NBC and Spartan Race today officially announced that former NFL linebacker Dhani Jones and former professional soccer star Kyle Martino will man the helm of the new NBC competition show 'Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge'. The two will be joined by course reports American Ninja Warrior and OCR Warrior competitor and co-host Evan Dollard and current sports anchor, MJ Acosta.

Spartan Race Announces New US Championship Series

Spartan Race announced today the new US Championships Series. The series will highlight five races including all three distances. These races also tie in with the NBC "Road to the Championships" television programming, culminating at the World Championships in Lake Tahoe.

BFX24: Going to the OCRX Extreme

BattleFrog Series launched another first over the weekend for the obstacle racing industry with BFX24. This 24-hour obstacle race or OCRX took place at Virginia Key Beach just outside of Miami, Florida. Over 120 athletes toed the line on Friday afternoon in preparation for the one of the toughest 24-hour obstacle races to date. Athletes from around North America and beyond took on this 5-mile looped course with 26 obstacles.

Adam Kimble’s Run Across USA: Day 17

Today was the same routine: Wake up at 3 am. Start walking at 4 am. Run/Walk 5 miles. Pit Stop. Run/Walk 5 miles. Pit stop. Over and over until the finish line for the day. Today’s finish line was an exciting one! Adam hit the New Mexico border! Ultra pal ran with Adam the last 30 miles of the day and finished at the New Mexico border with Adam. To shake things up a bit at the pit stops, Adam’s wife Karen started playing Pass the Popcorn to give Adam fun trivia since he’s a big movie guy.

BFX24: Top Men to Watch

BattleFrog Series, BFX24 is only days away. The race series is prepped for their first 24-hour event this weekend outside of Miami, Florida. On Friday afternoon racers will toe the line of this five-mile course, that was designed by OCR superstar Ryan Atkins. The course features twenty-six obstacles for competitors to navigate through. Yesterday, Mud Run Guide featured the top women to watch in the race, today we shift our focus to the men's race.
