England, the origin country of my OCR team, my favorite obstacle racing country, so the 2016 UK Championship was something that I just HAD to do! Only British citizens could enter the elite and age group divisions, but the Journeyman division was open to all.
World's Toughest Mudder has come and gone, but before tackling WTM this year I took on Tough Mudder Tennessee shortly before the 24-hour party in the desert. I wasn't sure if I would go, but since it was driving distance from my house, it means I could stay in my bed and drive to the event the morning of, a rarity in OCR for me. So I decided to hang out with my fellow Legionnaires for a weekend in the mud.
I had the opportunity to chat with Dylan Morgan, Director of Sweaty Yeti Races, and the man behind bringing Survival Run Canada to Squamish, B.C. in 2017. I wanted to learn more about him, his racing career, and Survival Run Canada.

He wasn't fishing for beads on Bourbon Street but instead out at Battle Races in beautiful Fountainbleau State Beach Park.
Team Ninja Warrior has gone back to school with a new 5-episode miniseries, Team Ninja Warrior College Madness. The Ninja Warrior franchise is expanding. This time the teams consist of college students racing for their colleges. The new mini-series is set to air on November 22 on Esquire Network.
OCR is great physical and mental challenge and every race feels like an adventure. There’s an element of surprise where you can’t predict with absolute certainty how everything will play out.
The 6th annual Worlds Toughest Mudder is now in the history books. Athletes limp their way home after a grueling 24-hours in the desert at Lake las Vegas. Athletes are already recounting the endless stories from the desert overnight which included two teams passing the 100-mile mark and three individual men. Marking a first in Tough Mudder history in Lake Las Vegas.

World's Toughest Mudder is in the books for 2016! Tomorrow marks the formal award ceremonies and brunch were top athletes will receive prizes, kettlebells, and some fo those coveted orange blazers. Until then it is time to revisit the last thirty or so hours in the desert with some of the most inspiring and crazy people around.
