Race Recap: Rugged Maniac Kitchener, Ontario

For the past three years I have been trying to get to a Rugged Maniac and finally, this year, I was able to make that a reality. The race was held at the Chicopee Ski Resort in Kitchener, Ontario. This resort is steeped in history dating back to 1805. With multiple ski runs available, it provided racers with a variety of elevations that were well marked and evenly cleared.

Race Recap: Warrior Dash Toronto, Ontario 2016

Years ago, Warrior Dash was my first dip into OCR, I felt obliged to try it again four years and 92 races later. It was a super-hot day and in hindsight, perhaps, I should have postponed participating but as we continue to race our obsession sometimes takes over our better judgement. The race was held at the Mohawk Racetrack outside of Toronto, Canada and provided a flat, fast course.

Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge Airs Monday on NBC

After months of anticipation the new NBC competition reality series, Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge airs Monday night at 10/9 central after American Ninja Warrior. The team based show is built off the Spartan Race Series and will feature some of your favorite obstacle course racing athletes in the sport today. Each week six teams will face off against each other testing themselves both physically and mentally on some never before seen obstacles as well as Spartan Race favorites.

The season finale of American Grit is here. The Fox series reaches its end today after a hard-fought battle among competitors. In the American Grit Finale, participants are pushed to their limits physically and mentally. The episode starts at camp, and Tony finds out that Jim joins him as the sole member of his own team. Everyone reflects on the fact that they are on their way into their last evolutions.

Race Recap: Alpha OCR Series 2016
