The Beast of the East Mud Run returns to JB MDL on Saturday, September 13. Presented by 87FSS, this open-gate event for both civilian and military runners from across the nation pits their endurance skills against a dirty military-style 10k run through rough terrain and 20 challenging obstacles! The mud, the dust and the tears accent a grueling day of human endeavor.

The Mud Run Was Ok But...

Event Name: New Jersey JB MDL Beast of the East 2014 

Overall, I felt like the run was ok. I was somewhat disappointed though because I thought there should have been more challenging obstacles. Don't get me wrong, I understand safety is first but couldn't we have had maybe a few oversized tires to toss, or perhaps some of the events from the Marine Confidence course? I felt like the challenge could have been a bit more challenging...
Also, on the way back, we were a little confused in terms of where we needed to go next. The fix for this could have been the folks handing out water... and directing traffic.
At any rate, I had fun and will do it again!
