Fantastic event

Jul 05, 2019 by Don L Humphrey

Participated at the Mud Factor in Anchorage last weekend with the family, we all had a great time. The event was well organized and the slide at the end was definitely a highlight. The finisher medal was very cool! Thank you Mud Factor!

Don't waste your money

This was by far the worst event I've ever paid for. For the price of admission you basically get nothing. On top of that, it is falsely advertised as a 5K obstacle course. It is a 2.5 K obstacle course that you repeat twice or more if you sign up as a family. Total waste of time. No shade to wait under. Obnoxious loud music in the waiting/confinement area. Save your money, this race is not cheap and you'll be glad you did.

GOOD FOR FIRST TIMERS

Apr 15, 2019 by wendy m wellen

Look if you are super serious about this stuff you are probably not going to like this event. I thought for a first timer - it's perfect. I do agree with a few things. Not enough obstacles, didn't like having to repeat the course, there was no water stations, and paying to park was disappointing. Also was surprised there was only 1 food truck. I also caught them refilling those spring water jugs with water from the hose so that was kind of shady.

I DID have fun and would do more of these but probably not this one. Very good for your first time out though!

What a shittacular event! From the overpriced parking, bag check to the fresh out of solitary confinement prisoners!

Save yourself some money and go to the beach for the day

If I can give 0 stars I would. This was very misleading, you look at the videos and it looks very exciting. I get there, And there were only 7 obstacles, 4 of them were the same and you had to do the course twice in order to complete the full k.. lol boring right? Yeah I know, one thing to keep in mind is that if there are less than 5 sponsers for an event.... DONT GO! This is why it’s advertized as 50-60% off. It’s worth 10$ a per person. I keep getting emails to attend again, I finally unsubscribed

Fake News!

Event Name: All events

When I read the reviews here about our events it would make me think our events are absolutely terrible! But when you take into account that there are 66 reviews total on here out of over 500,000 people that have attended Mud Factor it starts to look a bit misleading. As you know, happy people aren't often the ones leaving reviews in the first place(try Yelp).
Are all of our events awesome, of course not. There are so many variables to special events such as weather, staffing, failed deliveries etc etc etc. NO MUD RUN is perfect including Tough Mudder Spartan Race or Warrior Dash. Most Mud Runs that started since 2009 are long gone, out of business years ago. If any Mud Run brand with events all over the US is still posting a full schedule of events going on 10 years now it means that their event is sustainable, plain and simple. Mud Factor has an over 90% satisfaction rate from our participants. We put on a very good entry level, family friendly mud run at a very modest price point.

Money wasted

Dec 02, 2018 by Kevin B

Signed up 2 days prior to event due to pending hurricane...wanted to make sure it was still going to happen. Day of the event Mud Factor cancelled due to an abundance of caution...which is fine. Did they reschedule the follow week or month? No! They rescheduled the event for August 2019! A full year later! I have moved from NC and not close to transfer to another event. Refused to provide refund...stating that terms and condition clearly spells it out. Be careful if you can't make their event...you'll never see your money again. What a scam of an organization.

CROOKS STEALING

Oct 28, 2018 by Shim Shim

I’ve done several organized runs over the years. So basically I know how it goes. Charging $15 for parking then demanding cash. If no cash surcharge on the credit card. A fee to be a spectator to watch them take off then the finish line....you’re charging to watch? Who does that....Crooks!! The organizer is clearly cheap nothing offered a bottle of water, energy drinks no fruit Nothing! Cheap & Cheap!
Don’t wAste your time or money not worth a red cent!

Waste of Money/Carnies

Oct 14, 2018 by Joe Johnson

Nothing Mud about this. Pretty much a 5K with about 90% dry trail 10% shallow mud and a few crappy cargo nets to climb over. $50 for a shitty course plus they gyp you at every turn $10 for parking, $5 bag check that was not secure or watched. No gatoraid but 1 cup of water each at the 1/2 way point. Nothing in your swag bag except a $1 cheapo bandanna and henna tattoo. Want a shirt to advertise their run? It's $20. These people are like Carnies, peddling their crap from town to town.
