Race Recap: Udder Mud Run

Udder Mud Run is a fund raiser by the FFA-FHA of Georgia at their camp in Covington. While that might make it seem like a quick, low cost throw together event, Udder Mud Run is anything but that. They have some of the most fun obstacles around. This is a family friendly event with both a 7K and a 1 mile event.

Reebok All Terrain Super OR – Their Best OCR Shoe Yet

The Reebok All Terrain Super OR's are extremely light and flexible with great traction, and just the right combo of heel-toe drop and cushioning along with a midfoot rock plate to make them great trail racing shoes on non-technical terrain. Race Recap: What is Conquer The Gauntlet?

I have heard a lot about this race company Conquer The Gauntlet (CTG) who puts on races primarily here in the Midwest where I live. Until this weekend, however, I had never actually done one of their events. I had heard about how their obstacles are brutal and how only a select few can actually finish the races with their bands (it’s a belt in CTG). Am I nervous about The Cliff at World’s Toughest Mudder? No but it does give me that feeling in my stomach when I look over the edge.

Silent Giants: Rugged Maniac

The obstacle racing landscape is dominated, at least in the social media groups, by a few organizations. In reality, the obstacle racing landscape is vast and diverse, with everything from international corporations to local mom and pop races run by enthusiasts who want to share the love of OCR with those in their community. Then there are other events, ones which many may have heard of but never actually done.
