Sprints are a great starting point for anyone that’s new to the Spartan experience with a 7k/20 obstacle course that’s fun for everyone from beginners to seasoned athletes. It’s the perfect motivation to get you and your friend’s leaner, fitter and yes…muddy! The shorter Sprint offers plenty to test the dedicated athlete too and gives all Spartans a good start to achieving their Trifecta medal in 2016. Running, climbing, jumping, swinging, crawling and dodging are all part of the course in a Spartan Race. 99.9% will finish, and 100% will earn the respect deserved by a true Spartan.
The Reebok Spartan Sprint: This is our shortest course. It is perfect for athletes of all levels; from Spartan first timers to seasoned racers. The 3+ Mile Sprint may be our shortest distance but it packs more than 20 Signature Spartan Obstacles including mud, fire, walls and barbed wire. If you think you can’t do it, you’re wrong. Get to the starting line and show yourself what you are capable of.
There are some staples in our repertoire. There are also some venue specific and terrain inspired obstacles. We will not, however, spell it out for you. We do not have course maps. Each Spartan Race strives to surprise the athlete. Preperation for the unknown is a must.
There is fire, mud, water, barbed wire, and occasionally Hell on Earth. There WILL be obstacles to catch you off guard. Curve balls, so to speak. Get over it.
We’re here to rip you from your comfort zone. If you need a road map for each step of the way, then maybe this race isn’t for you.
3-4 aid stations on course with water, maybe some other goodies. We’ll finalize this as we get closer to race day. All racers should carry extra water and energy sources as this course will be very challenging.
Only those registered in the elite category are eligible for individual prize money at this event. All teams racing are eligible for prizes, though individual podium winner’s times cannot be counted towards team scores. Top 3 male, female and team finishers will receive $1k/$500/$250 respectively.
Spectators are welcome. Register in advance online for free here. On-site registration is $10 (children 14 and younger are free).
$10 per car. $20 per van. $50 per bus or RV. Cash only. Pay as you enter.
Post Race Party – music, food to purchase, and beer*!
*Beer where applicable and following all drinking age laws.
Spartan Race challenges us to be fearless, confident and committed. These are qualities we want our kids to have, and there is no better way for them to have a go, trust their abilities and have fun than by taking on the Spartan Kids course. The Spartan Junior Race was created to help children and young adults make their life-long commitment to fitness and health.
These events provide an opportunity for young athletes to develop and test their fitness in a safe, exciting, outdoor environment.
Racers of all athletic abilities are encouraged to connect with their inner warrior as they run, walk, crawl and climb their way through a fun-filled obstacle course so they can experience just how Spartan strong they really are.
There’s no dress code, but you’ll be running in mud and water, climbing hills and mountains, under barbed wire and jumping fire.
Our elites recommend: performance gear (NOT COTTON), water packs, compression underwear, Clif bars and energy gel.
Our advice is to race in what you train in - new shoes on race day are NOT recommended.
Professional event day photos will be posted on the event page 5-7 days after the event. We’ll email you when your photos are ready!
