Excellent!

Sep 14, 2017 by Rob Simon

Hard to believe this was their inaugural event because it was very well organized start to finish. Best part was having different and innovative obstacles. For those of us who run races regularly we want something different and this race delivered. Other reviewers note being sore after this race;, and I had the same experience, which is not the case after a typical Spartan race. Definitely coming back next year.

Frontline OCR

Aug 29, 2017 by Heidi Williams

From the moment I put on that Weighted Vest I knew I was in for the Race of my life !!! Frontline OCR far exceeded any Race I have competed in ... Challenging , exciting, great trails , different obstacles, did I say Challenging :) Great course markings on the trails is a must and that was done to perfection { Thank you Lee Stowell } !!!! The Volunteers and Staff were some of the best ... If I could change one thing it would be , {seeing I won over all elite female } The trophy and money go to the winner of the race and the other trophy goes to the second race The Blitzkrieg Round ;, this only seems fair to all participating in one Kick ass race ... Will I do it again ??? Absolutely !!! Highly recommend this race to the die hard athlete :) See you all soon :)

Inaugural FrontlineOCR

Aug 29, 2017 by Derrick Neil

Participated in the inaugural FrontlineOCR, and it was everything they said it would be. I thought, and I spoke to quite a few in attendance, that it was run and organized extremely well. There were a couple of very minor issues, but again, it's an inaugural race, so everything don't be perfect. The course itself was marked extremely well, the obstacles were challenging, and the terrain was technical. Not a lot of waiting for obstacles, which was nice. And the volunteers did an amazing job. It was an honor and a privilege being able to run this, and I can honestly say it was the toughest race I've run this year. Woke up sore from a race for the first time all year. I already can't wait to run it next year!

In the current era of ocr, big name races are getting weak with their obstacles and course designs. Frontline ocr came out swinging and didn't pull any punches. This was easily the most challenging race I've done thus far.

Frontline OCR Exceeds Expectations

Aug 29, 2017 by Sylvia L.

Frontline OCR 2017 exceeded my expectations. From the initial jump into an "LCA" while Coach Pain reminded us of the bravery and sacrifices made by men and woman on our country's behalf not only humbled me but inspired me to do my best on this new course. But it didn't stop there, I truly enjoyed and appreciated the variation in mental and physical challenges.

Having raced quite a few other OCRs, I was pleasantly surprised by how organized and easy it was to park and check-in. No hassles whatsoever. In addition, the volunteers were great-spirited and very helpful.

All in all, I absolutely loved and supported the cause as well as the tough and innovative obstacles. It was win/win all the way, and Truth be told, I could not stop smiling for quite a few days. I'm very much looking forward to racing the Frontline in 2018.

Aug 28, 2017 by OCR Runner

I've run 30+ OCRs over the past few years, many with my children. My son said this is his favorite, hands down. I love that they brought military/police/fire style and theme obstacles. This race left muscles sore that I usually forget about.

Can't wait till next year.

Race and course review

Aug 28, 2017 by Dustin firkin

Race was inovative which is hard to do these days, obstacles made you use everything you had. It was one of the best courses i have seen coming out of Illinois you had to be a well rounded athelte to be competitive being a runner just would not cut it. The endurance class was a blast and i would recomend it to anyone.

Tough but FUN!

Aug 28, 2017 by Trisha Pazdioch

I had a blast on this course, but boy was I sore the following week. The course used every bit of the hills in the area to make Illinois usually flat land a challenge. The new obstacles were a nice change of pace from more of the same. The distance as ruined me for shorter courses because they just aren't long enough! The staff and volunteers were very friendly. They were easy to spot in their day-gloe shirts. I look forward to the Frontline 2018 season!

I DARE YOU

Aug 28, 2017 by Mary Beth Carlson

The Frontline OCR race is an experience you cannot pass up. This race will test your mental and physical toughness and your grit, if you have any, to complete the course. Even for the toughest of elite ocr athletes ... you better come prepared for miles of insane obstacles that will use every single muscle, tendon and mental piece of your body. My good friend Ed Leon and his amazing Frontline OCR crew and family have put together this military inspired obstacle course which I highly recommend to everyone looking to challenge their ocr skills and mental toughness. Next wave to be announced soon! Come test the course ... IF YOU DARE!
