Tough Mudder X at Three Locations in 2018

Tough Mudder produced the first Tough Mudder X a shortened course with function fitness added into the mix in 2017. Instantly, due to the special on CBS and the fast and furious format, became a hit among the OCR Community. After the event, Tough Mudder announced pre-registration for several events in 2018 but recently some of those pre-registrations have been refunded.

The OCR Beast Grip Strength Challenge: Do You Even Hang?

If you haven’t tended to sore hands, massaged burning forearms or checked Instagram in December, you probably haven’t heard of one of the most grueling training challenges proposed to OCR enthusiasts. The brainchild of OCR Beast founder and coach, “Spartan” Spencer Mahoney, the Dead Hang Challenge focuses on developing improved grip strength and of course, those epic “Popeye forearms.”

Qikcover Gear Review

I recently came across a product called Qikcover that was created for just such a problem. As athletes, we are constantly getting sweaty, dirty and smelly during our training and we follow this up by immediately getting into our automobiles and proceeding to rub this “crud” all into our seats. The creators of Qikcover aimed to make a seat cover that could be quickly thrown over your seat to protect it without having to worry about finding a custom fit cover.

Spartan Race Ultra Championships in Iceland Crowns McKay and Fiore Champions

Over 800 competitors from thirty-five countries toed the line over the weekend for Spartan Race's first 24-hour ultra-endurance championship. Between cold temperatures, near hurricane force winds, and nearly the shortest day of the year this race was one for the books. Morgan McKay would take the women's race and Joshua Fiore claimed the title in the men's race.
