5 Things No One Told You About World’s Toughest Mudder

Every year I race World’s Toughest Mudder (WTM) and every year I seem to get instant amnesia.  Fast forward a couple of weeks after the event and I forget about the debilitating pain of walking the day after the race, the cold and all the suffering on course.  All I remember is the awesome sense of community, how much fun it was and how proud I am of my black WTM headband.

North American OCR Championships is announced for 2018. The race put on by the team at the OCR World Championships is set to put on the first independent North American OCR Championship at Stratton Mountain, Vermont, August 10-12, 2018

OCR World Championships Moving to the United Kingdom

Locations of the OCR World Championships and North American Championships were announced today with OCR World Championships headed to the United Kingdom and North American OCR Championships replacing the US OCR Championships and heading to Stratton Mountain, Vermont.

Race Recap – Hardcore Mudd Run

The Hardcore Mudd Run, just a few minutes from the main campus of Penn State, was our destination. Tussey Mountain does not look big from the road. But like a lot of Pennsylvania mountain terrain, it soon proved to be the main obstacle of the event.

Race Recap: Spartan Race Big Bear Debut

Hopes were high for the first Spartan Beast held at Snow Summit in Big Bear, California, literally. The 4,000 feet of elevation gain in 12.2 miles did not disappoint. Well, it actually did disappoint a few competitors, who suffered the elevation, dust and tricky technical terrain.

Spartan Race Launches Age Group Rankings and 2018 North American Championship

Today, Spartan Race, released more information about the 2018 season. 2018 will feature age group awards for six age group categories as well as global age group rankings. Additionally, West Virginia will play host to the Spartan Race North American Championships on August 26, 2018.
