Race Recap: OCR World Championships 2017: 15k Course

Clouds loom over the start line and there is a crisp, autumn chill in the air. Your hands are shaking, heart pounding with anticipation. You stand side by side with comrades from Canada, Puerto Rico, Germany, and beyond, awaiting the signal to begin your trek on the mountain.  Dewayne Montgomery, better known as Coach Pain, approaches the start line delivering an intense, motivational message; a challenge to “Conduct Your Business” on the course. And just like that, you’re off! You are a world championship competitor and you are about to make history.

Fallen Heroes Memorial Run Offers up Ultimate OCR raffle

The Spartan Race Glenn Rose weekend, the last weekend of October plays host to the Fallen Heroes Memorial Run. This run gives participants a chance to conquer the Spartan course with the efforts helping raise awareness and funds for veterans issues.  The Fallen Heroes Memorial Fund also offers a virtual race package.

Don’t Sleep on Local Events!

We’re all fans of Tough Mudder, Spartan Race, Warrior Dash, and BattleFrog (RIP), but there’s a type of race that can never really compare to the massive marketing Goliaths taking over the obstacle course racing world. This type of race continues to entertain both competitive and everyday mud runners who crave the next challenge but are not ready to drop another 200 bucks to play in the mud.

Spartan Race Changes Path to Spartan Race World Championships in 2018

Spartan Race announced yesterday a change for all those looking to qualify for the Spartan Race World Championships in 2018. In order to earn your way into the championship event participants will have to qualify for regional and national championships on their way to the Spartan Race World Championships.

The Citizens Bank Stadium Spartan Race Sprint, the forgotten stadium race of the East Coast. Citifield and Fenway being the wildly popular stars of the Stadium circuit, Citizens Bank Sprint are the Goldilocks of the stadium sprints. Offering not too hot but not too cold weather, a well-designed course, and the perfect amount of space on course to not feel like you’re standing in a line all day.
