OEW Announced as Official 2017 US OCR Champs Charity Partner

The obstacle racing world has been greatly anticipating the arrival of the first United States Obstacle Course Racing Championships (USOCRC) since the announcement of the event on January 17, 2017. Hosted by Adventurey LLC, organizers of the independent Obstacle Course Racing World Championships, the event is scheduled to be held on Labor Day weekend, September 2 & 3, at Y.O. Ranch Headquarters, in Mountain Home, Texas.

Spartan Race Ultra World Championship Coming to Iceland

Spartan Race posted on their social media the above graphic this morning. A cryptic post about an event coming to Iceland in December. Further investigation found on Spartan Race Hungary's page appears that Spartan Race is gearing up for an Ultra World Championship to be held in Iceland on December 16, 2017.

Italian OCR Championships Series Hosted First Stop in Pisa

The Italian OCR Championship series, their national championship series kicked off on May 6th in Pisa at Inferno Run. The Italian OCR Championship Series is a circuit sanctioned by the Italian OCR Federation, the national governing body for the sport of OCR in Italy and part of the newly created European Obstacle Sports Federation (EOSF). Inferno Run in Pisa was the first stop on the series.

Tough Mudder announced today the introduction of Tough Mudder Bootcamp. Tough Mudder Bootcamp which was teased a few months ago and again in Mud Run Guide's interview with Will Dean after Europe's Toughest Mudder is the newest offering for the brand. Over the years, it has become apparent that Tough Mudder is much more than just an event and the latest offering from the company builds on this.

Will Dean Reflects on Europe’s Toughest Mudder

Our Editor-in-Chief, Margaret Schlachter, continued her British adventure heading up to Grantham in the Midlands to capture all the action live at Europe's Toughest Mudder. The only Toughest Mudder event to be held outside of North America in 2017. The event itself featured Jon Albon and Susanne Kraus winning in the men's and women's fields.
