Introducing Spartan H3X – A Global Hurricane Heat Challenge

Spartan is at it again to bring racers a once in a lifetime opportunity. Spartan this morning released a video about the Spartan H3X happening this fall globally. The event will take place simultaneously in five venues on November 2nd and 3rd, 2018.

Race Review: Vanguard Race at Louisiana Sports Festival

Athletes from all over the country traveled to BREC's Farr Equestrian Park in the heart of Louisiana to compete in the Louisiana Sports Festival Vanguard Race this past weekend, June 9 & 10, 2018. The outdoor sports celebration held in Baton Rouge Louisiana included obstacle course events, trail races, and mountain bike competitions.

2018 Tough Mudder X World Championship Results

Tough Mudder X held their championship over the past weekend. Top athletes from both the Obstacle Racing and CrossFit worlds collided on the one-mile intense course. The TMX World Championship which will air on CBS later this summer took place in Virginia.

Tough Mudder is known for their big obstacles that often require help from a fellow mudder. Everest has been a signature obstacle since Tough Mudder got their start in 2010. Over the years the obstacle has continued to evolve. However, teamwork and a helping hand have always been part of the obstacle.

Mogollon Monster Mudda 5k Mud Run

The Mogollon Monster Mudda 5k Mud Run has been held in Payson, Arizona every year since 2012 and has been rated "The most outstanding event in Arizona".  This race is a local, inexpensive, family-friendly event that boasts over 40 obstacles and some challenging terrain.

Race Recap: Ohio Spartan Sprint

On June 3rd, 2018 racers gathered to take on the Spartan Sprint in Garrettsville, Ohio. The event was held at the Southington Off-Road Park, where Spartan was welcomed to host the first ever obstacle course race on the premises. With 1,500 acres of backwoods, the Southington Off-Road Park provided a very flat, yet technical terrain with miles of mud along the trails.

Product Review: Hyperwear Elite Weight Vest

As long as I have been on social media following other Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) athletes I have noticed post-run pictures of sweaty competitors posing with their weight vests. One brand seems to be more present on OCR athletes than any other, Hyperwear.
