Race Recap: Terrain Race-Chandler, AZ

By |November 6th, 2018|

The Terrain Race in Chandler, Arizona was 3.2 miles of pure mud! This race was held on the grounds of Raw Hide, a special event venue located about 20 miles south of Phoenix.  Terrain has changed a few things up over the last few months and one of the first things that I noticed was that the starting line no longer took place in the infamous pools.

Terrain Race: Slinger, Wisconsin

By |July 18th, 2018|

Wet, muddy, humid and hilly.  These four words perfectly describe the Terrain Race in Slinger, Wisconsin.  This race was held at Little Switzerland, a small midwestern ski resort located about 30 miles northwest of Milwaukee.  When we pulled up to the venue, the hills really did not seem too intimidating, especially considering the standard 5k distance of this race.

Last week Spartan announced they would hold a World Championship Race for Kids. The event will be held in Laughlin, NV in November this year. Children between the ages of 10-13 who have placed in the top three at any kids events qualify to compete. So far so good right? Great opportunity for kids to challenge themselves in this sport just like any other sport.

There's no doubt that OCR has taken the world by storm in recent years. But within this growing community is the incredible passion for youth athletes to get involved at younger and younger ages. Whether it's a kid who's inspired by watching a parent compete, or someone just looking achieve new goals, there's a clear desire for more family-oriented athletic events in our area. In hopes of merging this desire with the existing OCR community, pursueEVENTures was born.

Race Recap: BattleFrog Series Miami

By |November 24th, 2014|

It’s rather hard to believe that BattleFrog’s first race ever was staged in Atlanta less than six months ago.  This was only their sixth Event, yet they already have a level of professionalism that rivals other race series that have been doing this for years.
