Addressing the Stigma of Injury

By |September 11th, 2018|

The 2018 OCR season has been a real eye-opener for me. As I age, I find I’m more susceptible to injury, and those recovery times seem to lengthen after every birthday.

Race Recap: Tough Mudder Whistler 2018

By |July 3rd, 2018|

Tough Mudder Whistler holds a place in my heart when it comes to OCR since it was my first one four years ago. The drive up from Seattle is always full of amazing views you get to take in along the way. The venue itself is still the same and it never disappoints.

Last year Tough Mudder rolled out their eight-hour overnight Ultra-Obstacle Course Race (Ultra-OCR) series Toughest Mudder. Having done three events last year as part of the Toughest Mudder Series, I signed up to do the same thing this year, which concluded for me at Toughest Mudder East (Boston).

By |June 12th, 2018|

Tough Mudder is known for their big obstacles that often require help from a fellow mudder. Everest has been a signature obstacle since Tough Mudder got their start in 2010. Over the years the obstacle has continued to evolve. However, teamwork and a helping hand have always been part of the obstacle.

Toughest Mudder South 2018 – Central Texas

By |May 24th, 2018|

I’ve done Tough Mudders, but this one takes the mud cake.  On a random whim thanks to a friend, I was convinced to do the Toughest Mudder rather than just the regular Tough Mudder.  Joking aside, I can say it was the absolute hardest race I’ve done to date.
