If are you at all interested in nutrition and exercise, you have come across the term "carb cycling".  Essentially, carb cycling incorporates low carb days with carb loading days throughout the week.  With the popularity of low to no carb diets,  carb cycling is a healthy alternative that still supplies your muscles with the glycogen they need to perform and helps you to stay away from the side effects of no or low carb diets.

This past weekend, I raced the SoCal Spartan in Chino, California. Prado Regional Park was a beautiful venue, the weather was great, and everyone was so excited to kick off the U.S. 2018 racing season for the Spartan Series.

The 2017 OCR World Championships Race Experience

You could feel the nervous tension in the air at the OCR World Championships at dusk on Thursday night. In 12 short hours, the first racers of the weekend would be taking their mark.  Athletes from 67 different nations were congregating around the obstacles as the finishing touches were being made.  Strategies were developing and although we did not speak the same languages, you could tell we were all thinking the same thing; this course is going to be brutal.

OCRTUBE: Bonefrog Challenge Florida 2017

Bonefrog Challenge kicked off their 2017 season making their first stop in Florida over the weekend. Arnel Banawa of OCRTUBE was on hand to capture all the action from this expanding race series. Bonefrog Challenge three distances from a 5k to the eight-mile "Challenge" course with 30+ Obstacles, and the "Tier 1", 11+ mile with 50 obstacles. With all these options there is something for everyone at a Bonefrog Challenge.
