OCR and CrossFit Stars to Showdown at Tough Mudder X World Championship

Tough Mudder and Kill Cliff announce top Obstacle Racing and CrossFit athletes will showdown at the Tough Mudder X World Championship. Top athletes from both worlds will compete for $70,000 in cash prizes. The event is set to take place June 8, 2018, in Richmond, Virginia with the showdown to be broadcast on CBS later in the summer.

Race Recap: Savage Blitz Maryland

Savage Race decided to try something new for 2018. A few months back they put out a photo teaser about a new event called Savage Blitz.  They followed it up with a live video and we were told it would be a 3 mile course with 15-20 obstacles. They originally were doing a limited release this season with only 4 planned locations.

Permanent OCR Facility Spotlight: The Battlegrounds

With Tough Mudder set to take over the venue for the next five years, May 19th will be the last event for The Battlegrounds as we know it. I’m hoping Tough Mudder incorporates some of The Battlegrounds existing obstacles into their race with a name like Tough Mudder’s Battlegrounds.

Race Recap: Bonefrog Virginia Beach

Bonefrog has expanded their race lineup once again. On 4/29/18 they hosted a brand new race in Virginia Beach, VA. The race took place at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex, a large facility dedicated to various sports events. Equipped with massive open grass fields, field hockey pitches, and even an athletic field with stadium seating this venue is well suited to handle any sporting event and it did not disappoint.

Race Recap: Los Angeles Rugged Maniac 2018

Rugged Maniac recently stopped in Los Angeles and was a blast! I first heard of this race a few years ago on Shark Tank when Mark Cuban invested $1.75 million into the company. I was excited to head to my third Rugged Maniac. From start to finish Rugged Maniac offered a fun race, food trucks, festival contests, cool swag, cold beer, and new obstacles. Rugged Maniac athletes were all around showing off their medals and swag with Sierra Nevada in hand.
