Urban Trials Talks BattleFrog Social Media Acquisition, Technology in Racing and More…

Last week, Facebook was a blaze with comments after obstacle race company The Urban Trails took over the old BattleFrog Series facebook and other social assets last Wednesday afternoon. BattleFrog ceased operating a few months ago and sold off all the assets. The Urban Trails which held one event in 2015 acquired Battlefrog’s social assets and rebranded the facebook page last Wednesday.

Survival Run Racers Running for Clean Water

Since the inception of Survival Run Nicaragua, the extreme endurance event held annually on the island of Ometepe, a component of the race week has been giving back to the local community. The 24-hour extreme endurance event has athletes running over seventy kilometers, completing tasks along the way. Think of it as the most extreme version of The Amazing Race.

Spartan Race Announces Global Championship Series

Fire and grit collide on the racecourse when the world’s greatest athletes compete in the 2017 Reebok Spartan Race World Championship in Lake Tahoe, Calif. September 30 (#RoadToTahoe). The pinnacle event of the obstacle racing season will see a field of 500 elite athletes from more than 30 countries battling the mountainous terrain at Squaw Valley during the 12+ mile (20+ kilometer) Beast-style race. To qualify for the World Championship heat, men and women racers must finish in the top 5 at Spartan Races around the world during the 2017 qualifying season.
