On September 22, 2018, I ran the Spartan Super at the Michigan International Speedway. This was the second year that Spartan held an event at this venue and the weekend consisted of a Super, Sprint, and Kids Race. (I’ll focus on the Super specifically for my review).
On Friday afternoon, Spartan put up an interesting video on Facebook. Joe De Sena announced while carrying a kettlebell that in 2019 one thousand more season passes have been added to the inventory and gladiators are coming back for select events.
A gorgeous weekend welcomed Spartans to Killington; the location where it all began. Huge crowds were on hand for the Ultra, Beast and Sprint weekend. Parking seemed to move smoothly and allowed athlete a chance to stretch out their legs with a 15-minute walk to the festival area.
The first of the major obstacle racing championships was last weekend outside Lake Tahoe in Squaw Valley. With many Mud Run Guide community members toeing the line for the Spartan World Championship our social media guru Bonnie Wilson decided to honor the achievements of our community at all levels.
Tough Mudder Classic is a return to our badass roots. In 2019 we’ll be testing your strength and mental grit over an 8-10 mile course featuring 25 obstacles -- more per mile than ever before -- including 10 new or updated 2019 obstacles.

I usually like to build up some anticipation regarding the product I’m reviewing, but I’ll cut to the bottom line up front for this one. OOFOS new shoes, the OOmg Shoes, are super comfortable, if you are a serious athlete and don’t own a pair you need to stop living in the past.
For the fourth year in a row, the Spartan World Championships were held in beautiful North Lake Tahoe, CA, specifically Squaw Valley Ski Resort. This was my second time here (last year being my first), and, in my opinion, it did not disappoint.

The Citizen’s Bank Park Spartan Stadium Series Sprint brought together a perfect storm last Saturday. From the moment I entered the venue and spotted David Magida warming up for the Elite race to late that afternoon hanging out in the parking lot with my teammates, this day continually served up meetings with friends old and new.
