For weeks, Savage Race has been teasing a new sizable medal through social media with the word "Syndicate" on the ribbon. Yesterday, Savage Race released more information about this new addition to the 5-mile obstacle races offerings. The Savage Race Syndicate is the newest way Savage Race is looking out for their repeat customers. For participants who run more than one Savage Race a year, their loyalty is about to be rewarded.
Savage Race again returned to the beautiful Moonlight Stables and Equestrian Center, while some would think that this being the only place that Savage has held its events here in Georgia that they might want to change things up, having done each event here they always find ways to change things up, so the course is never the same.
If there was ever any doubt that the obstacle racing season was in full swing this weekend with over 50 races around the world happening at the same time put all doubts to rest. Both Spartan Race and Tough Mudder were in three different locations over the weekend as well as all the other major American series racing around the country. Internationally, XMan Race Series was in Toronto, Toughest in Sweden, Rat Race Dirty Weekend in the United Kingdom and more. Savage Race 2016 kicked off in Dade City Florida on March 19, debuting 5 new obstacles: PoleCat, On the Fence, Squeeze Play, a yet-unnamed "Mystery Obstacle" and the new SAVAGERIG. Mud Run Guide follows the action and brings you the men's and women's winners, "Air Force" Ken Corgliano and Rachel Corvington (just a couple weeks before their wedding!)
The 7+ mile course was packed with 27 obstacles, including favorites such as the baddest monkey bars in OCR, Sawtooth, and last year's innovative Wheel World, ranking up there with Savage's famous Colossus and Davy Jones' Locker. 5 obstacles were innovative, brand-spankin' new ones making their Savage debut
It was a busy week for our sport all over the world, with your solid basics, three-day challenges, televised team relays, and the unveiling of some exciting new obstacles. The states brought some favorites to the table, with Spartan Race heating up Las Vegas, Warrior Dash in Southern California, Savage Race spinning wheels and climbing fences in Florida, and BattleFrog tearing up the beach wakes and the airwaves in Georgia.
